Experience Became Expertise

Expertise Makes the Difference

A word of caution about "Experience"...

There is a tremendous practical difference between the person with "Five years' experience" and the one with "One year's experience - five times!"

Only the individual who has been frequently challenged, who has taken advantage of opportunities, who has regularly overcome obstacles and who has embraced change can truly convert that "experience" into "expertise." Many folks who have kept the same old role in the same static organization can claim to have lots of "experience"...

Our TEC Team Consultants average fourteen years' experience each. We have spent those years working with and for numerous Accounts Receivable and Credit/Collection operations in all kinds of environments.

Our backgrounds are not just in the computer lab. Rather, we are business people who have actually used the technology to develop real world strategies and solutions. Our language is your language. Our "experience" has become expertise. We know, sometimes better than the commercial developer, what the applications can do and how they can help you reach your goals.

Over the years, our consultants have participated in scores of system integration projects, performed hundreds of client set-ups and developed countless custom workflow processes. We believe TEC Team strikes the perfect balance between the technical side of the industry and the operational area.

Wendell Etheridge

Wendell is the founder of The Enterprise Consultant Team. He is married with 3 children and is a resident of Dallas, Georgia, an Atlanta suburb. He is a 29-year Credit and Collections veteran. In late 1998, Wendell decided to capitalize on his 10 years of consulting experience and founded The Enterprise Consultant Team to provide ‘expert’ operational advice and project assistance to accounts receivable companies interested in advancing their corporate skills. Since establishing The Enterprise Consultant Team, Wendell has assisted dozens of firms with installation projects, training, resource assistance and other needs.

Wendell honed his consulting skills at the Medaphis Services Corporation and later the NCO Corporation, where he spent 3 years as the Systems Manager and Director of Systems Integration. His primary goal was the assimilation of newly acquired companies into the corporate environment. Wendell met the challenge by functioning as an internal consultant to the acquired companies and branch offices. He successfully managed 17 installation projects plus 13 dialer installations.

Prior to Medaphis, he spent almost seven years as the General Manager with the Stallings Financial Group, where he became an ‘expert’ user of collection technology. During this time he beta-tested scores of software features, enhancements and new releases. Wendell’s first exposure to consulting came when, at various times, he was frequently asked to teach sessions at user conferences.

Wendell’s career began with the JCPenney Company in its proprietary credit division, where he served in a variety of operational and IS/IT roles for 14 years, including managing the skip trace and collection units, and special projects involving both retail point-of-sale and credit authorizations.

Wendell is a 1980 graduate of Mercer University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
